Sarah Jaycox Hartong
CO-FOUNDER  |  C.E.O.

Sarah Jaycox Hartong is a communication expert with a passion for collecting, telling, encouraging, and articulating stories, particularly those of women and those that exist to drive change in today's workplace. As an advisor, coach, and communication expert for nearly two decades, she trains and counsels leaders - from Fortune 50 C-Suite executives to early stage start-up visionaries - with the aim of putting the 'human' in today's leadership. She serves as a trusted advisor on leadership brand, executive presence, career strategy, and driving a supportive, successful business culture. Most recently, her focus has been on next-gen and female executives, facilitating top-talent female retreats, and working with leadership teams to take real action on balancing gender in the workplace.

She deeply believes in being frank and that a rising tide lifts all ships - if we don’t weigh the ships down (and even faster if we tie them together). She prefers having conversations to giving lectures. She loves a good game night and is never a sore loser (although often an insufferable winner). She reads business books and Buzzfeed. She has three very loud daughters, a musician husband, and a speed boat named Pudinkins that she, alone, captains.

With Meghan Velin, she compiled all those passions and stories into one company, Leveled, which seeks to reimagine the way work works for everyone.

Meghan Velin
CO-FOUNDER  |  PRESIDENT

Meghan Velin has over 15 years of experience in media and leadership communications. She is a lover of transitions, pivots, and reinventions, because she believes (and has experienced firsthand) that a straight and narrow career path is a thing of the past. As a coach and facilitator, she excels at helping leaders - notably female leaders - define, understand, and better articulate their own personal and professional narratives. She has a long-held passion for telling the stories of others, having honed her expertise working as a television producer and casting director for over a decade in New York City. Through her work with Leveled’s Gender Balance Analysis programs, Meghan uses her journalism background to conduct candid, comprehensive interviews with leadership teams and employees that paint the true cultural picture of a business. She’s also a seasoned project manager, an insatiable wordsmith and a fervent curator of talent - all skills she uses to craft client events and collateral that are noteworthy, thought-provoking and drive action.

Meghan is enthusiastic about building better support systems for working women, particularly when it comes to juggling family and career. Her happy places include yoga classes, live music performances, and any outdoor body of water. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, her two (very) spunky daughters, and her dog, Butter.
